Sixth grade teacher Mr. Phelps tucked one of the 13 folds of the U.S. flag, as students hold the flag tight during Monday’s Veterans Day Program at the school. Other sixth graders read about the symbolism of each fold. Many of Arnold’s students were involved in the program, which drew a large crowd of residents on a cold, snowy morning.
A highlight of the program was listening to Mary Beshaler speak about her father, World War II Medal of Honor recipient Donald Schwab. The program was hosted by American Legion and the V.F.W.
Veterans, Thank You for Serving our Country and Protecting our Freedoms
